Free, Prior and Informed Consent (FPIC)
Our FPIC process involves 12 steps that aim to ensure that the communities we engage with truly understand what they are consenting to. Our goal is to seek consent from local and indigenous communities in a manner that follows their own customs and traditions, aligning scrupulously with international standards.
Thus, our FPIC process is designed to help guarantee everyone’s right to self-determination, allowing them to participate in decisions that affect their lives. We are committed to carrying out a thorough and well-carried-out FPIC process that helps ensure that the communities we engage with are fully informed and empowered to make decisions that affect their lives.
